About this Conference

As always, this conference is for educators, community-based organizations, school administrators, healthcare providers, school resource officers, counselors, parents, and anyone else working with youth to learn about the latest research on youth and their use of cannabis, e-cigarettes, and other drugs, including reasons for use, health effects, and the latest available lessons for teaching cannabis (and other drug) education and prevention to elementary-, middle-, and high school-aged youth.

While the focus of our conference will still be on Cannabis, we also know that many youth are using more than one substance and wanted to make sure that some of our workshops addressed those concerns as well.

The exciting thing about doing this conference online again is that even if you cannot attend live on our conference dates, everyone who registers will have access to all Keynote presentations, workshops, and resources for one year to watch as many times as you’d like. This may be particularly helpful for classroom educators who might find it difficult to get subs this year, or healthcare providers who are in clinic, or others who just have busy days for other reasons.

General Conference Questions

  • What time is the conference?
    • 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Pacific Time (PDT)
    • 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Eastern Time (EDT)
  • What is the price of the conference?
    • Early bird registration is $100. Price will increase to $125 after March 1st, 2026. (Fees include access to all conference recordings, materials, and resources for up to one year.)
  • Is this conference in-person?
    • Nope! This conference will be entirely virtual.
  • Is this conference only for California residents?
    • Nope! This conference will be virtually held and accessible to everyone no matter where you are in the world! As a matter of fact, 75% of our participants last year were from outside of California, with 50 states and 5 countries represented across all attendees.
    • For individuals who are from international organizations, and/or parents who want to attend but need financial assistance, please e-mail canprevtoolkit@stanford.edu. 
  • I would love to attend, but I am unavailable those days.
    • Remember that this is a virtual conference. If you are unable to attend, you can still register and access all content for one year after the conference. Please note, you will not be eligible for credit unless you attend live.
  • How do I make changes to my registration?
    • Please refer back to your registration confirmation e-mail for a link to modify your registration as well as a confirmation code.

    • Note: we do not offer group discounts; however, we offer group codes to allow for easier billing.
  • How long do refunds typically take to process?
    • Refunds typically take 2-7 days depending upon the merchant account used.

    • Great! Please make sure to attend both days live to earn credit.
    • Credits must be added to your registration AND paid for by April 8th, 2026.
      • Credits will be UNAVAILABLE in registration after this date.
    • Please expect a follow-up e-mail about credit one week after the conference with next steps.
    • Please ensure you complete the evaluation at the end of the conference on both days.
