VIRTUAL ADVOCACY 101 OVERVIEW
New to policy advocacy, or looking to better understand how public policy impacts your work as a CDFI practitioner? Start here! This half-day introductory training provides a practical overview of the federal policy landscape and the role advocacy plays in advancing the CDFI industry.
You'll learn how legislation and regulation shape the environment in which CDFIs operate, explore the federal policymaking process, and gain a better understanding of the key agencies and decision-makers that influence the industry. We'll also discuss how CDFIs can engage in advocacy efforts, share their impact with policymakers, and help inform policies that strengthen communities and expand access to capital.
Whether policy advocacy is a core part of your role or just one of many responsibilities, this training will provide the foundational knowledge and confidence to better understand the policy landscape and engage more effectively on behalf of your organization and the communities you serve.
