• PrEPared for Her: Stories and Solutions to Help Prevent HIV in Women

    Join NPWH and Gilead Medical Affairs for an engaging World AIDS Day-themed virtual panel conversation exploring the impact of HIV on women and the importance of clinicians in championing HIV screening and prevention for women. In this sponsored, non-CE educational event, panelists will consist of Nurse Practitioners from Gilead Sciences Medical Affairs with diverse clinical backgrounds, who will share their personal experience and stories about the impact of HIV on women, barriers and challenges to expanding HIV prevention – especially amongst Black and Latina women –  and opportunities for providers to champion HIV prevention in clinical practice.

    Program Objectives

    • Revisit the state of the HIV epidemic with a focus on cisgender women, especially the disproportionate impact of HIV on Black and Hispanic/Latina women
    • Share stories as providers to highlight the challenges, opportunities, and importance of expanding HIV prevention efforts in cisgender women
    • Inspire action and introduce opportunities and educational tools for attendees/providers to consider leveraging in practice to navigate sexual health/HIV-oriented conversations with patients
