TDM provides a centralized tool database with tool assemblies, machining parameters, and 2D/3D models. When integrated with Mastercam, this data is available directly in the CAM environment, allowing programmers to select tools and apply accurate data without manual entry.  

This connection improves data consistency, supports more reliable simulation with real tool models, and enables tool lists to flow back to TDM for shopfloor preparation.
