MBW N2 Training Program Overview

The training program is comprised of several components which should be performed in series and completed over several weeks.

Step 1: Pre-Training

The MBW N2 Pre-Training course consists of three online modules which provides background information about the multiple breath nitrogen washout, Exhalyzer® D MBW device calibration and subject testing, as well as an introduction to MBW test quality assessment.

Step 2: In-Person Training

The In-Person MBW N2 Training will be hosted regionally (North America, Europe, Australia) by each of the CORCs; the date for training will be specified upon registration. Active participation is mandatory.

Step 3: Post-Training

The MBW N2 Post-Training course consists of one module which covers more advanced topics and provides an opportunity for learning consolidation through a knowledge test. Trainees must receive a passing grade before collecting MBW qualification tests.

Step 4: Qualification

Trainees will be asked to demonstrate competency by successfully collecting a pre-determined number of MBW qualification tests.

Our recommendation is to complete the post-training course and submit all qualification tests within three months of your in-person training date.
