Meet The Speaker

Tony Boccanfuso has led UIDP since 2007, advancing its mission to strengthen collaboration among industry, research universities, government, and nonprofits. He is a nationally recognized expert in university-industry research partnerships. His career spans academic, government, nonprofit, and private-sector research and commercialization.  With more than 30 years of leadership experience at organizations including the U.S. National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, Boccanfuso brings deep expertise in building innovation ecosystems. He earned his PhD in inorganic chemistry and his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and political science.
