AMP Training Options

*All classroom and field activities will occur at the AMP Member Training Center at 1201 Schrock Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229.

1. Apprentice Lineworker Training:

$4,770

AMP’s Apprentice Lineworker series consists of two non-consecutive weeks of training per level. Over the course of four years, apprentices progress through four levels of instruction, with each level building upon the last:

Basic 1

Basic 2

*Classes A and B are identical courses.

Intermediate

Advanced

**Lineworkers must begin their training at the Basic 1 level unless otherwise approved by AMP. Each apprentice training level requires the completion of two non-consecutive weeks in the same year.

New this year, AMP will offer an optional third week of apprenticeship training for each level. Lineworkers may attend this additional week after successfully completing the first two non-consecutive weeks, or with approval from AMP staff.

The third week provides apprentices with additional hands-on training, expanded learning opportunities and more time to further develop their trade skills.
