Give your students an unforgettable learning experience at Kern County’s state-of-the-art STEAM lab! Our field trips are designed for K–8th grade students and feature NGSS-aligned, hands-on activities that spark creativity and critical thinking. From testing out engineering designs and experimenting with interactive chemistry to building ecosystem models, students connect classroom learning to real-world science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Field trips cost $500 for up to 75 students and ten adults (up to 3 hours). Thanks to a generous donation from Chevron, these costs are significantly reduced, making it easier for schools to bring students to The STEAM Yard.
