CONFERENCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 

"Attendee” for purposes of these Terms will include all participants at the National Research Conference for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harms, (referred to as "Conference" below). Conference organizers reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to limit or deny access to any entity or individual.

All conference attendees must be 18 years old or older, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Nondiscrimination Policy: The Conference prohibits discrimination, harassment, and bullying against any person for any reason—for example, because of age, ancestry, color, disability or handicap, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual or affectional orientation, gender identity, appearance, matriculation, political affiliation, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Event Conduct and Safety: The Conference is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment to all participants, including staff and vendors, at conference-related events.  The Conference has no tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any form at Society-related events. Attendees are expected to adhere to these principles and respect the rights of others. 

What To Do If You Witness or are Subjected to Unacceptable Behavior: Attendees should report any behavior inconsistent with these principles to onsite event staff. Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.

Liability Waiver & Release: In consideration of being allowed to register for, and participate in the conference, you hereby warrant and represent that you are age 18 or above and freely waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue the Research Society for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harm or its members, employees, organizers, board members, agents, or volunteers for any expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, illness, including but not limited to COVID-19, disability, property damage, or property theft or actions of any kind that you may hereafter suffer or sustain before, during, or after the event, unless said expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including loss of life, illness, disability, property damage or property theft or actions of any kind is caused by the sole, gross negligence of the Research Society for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harm. This Liability Waiver and Release is specifically binding upon your heirs and assigns and is knowingly given.

Conference Attendee Cancellation Policy If you can no longer attend this Conference, you may cancel or transfer your registration by providing written notice to the conference team support@albrechtevents.com before October 15, 2026. A 10% service fee will be charged for each cancellation. Cancellations received after the cancellation cutoff date or "No Shows" will not be refunded. Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Attendees are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations and any fees or charges that may apply.

Substitution/Transfer Policy A substitution of attendee registration may be made at any time up to the Conference start date by emailing support@albrechtevents.com with details. Please remember that transferring your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Attendees are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations and any fees or charges that may apply.

Force Majeure  After the cancellation cutoff date, payments made are not refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, failure to use conference attendance credentials due to illness, COVID-19 included, or due to any event beyond the reasonable control of the parties, such as an act of God, natural disaster, travel-related problems or an act of terrorism.

The Conference reserves the right to change, amend, add or remove any of the above Terms & Conditions in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply. These Terms & Conditions apply to all event participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors).

The views expressed by any event attendee, speaker, exhibitor, or sponsor are not necessarily those Conference organizers. All attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors are solely responsible for the content of all individual or corporation presentations, marketing collateral, and/or advertising.
