Meet the Speakers: 
Hunter Hayes, CFA
Hunter Hayes joined Intrepid Capital in 2017 and serves as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of the Intrepid Income Fund. He leads the firm’s fixed income investment efforts, focusing on high-yield corporate credit and research-driven opportunities in less trafficked areas of the market. The Intrepid Income Fund has grown from approximately $70 million in assets when Hunter assumed portfolio management responsibilities to more than $1.5 billion today. Prior to Intrepid, Hunter was a high-yield analyst at Eaton Vance. Hunter graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University with a B.S.B.A. in Finance and a B.M. in Piano Performance.

Matt Parker, CFA, CPA
Matt Parker is a Portfolio Manager on the Intrepid Income Fund, where he has worked since 2014. He previously worked as a small-cap equity analyst ad, prior to that, as an auditor at Ernst & Young. Matt applies a deep-value, bottom-up investment philosophy with emphasis on fundamental research and downside protection. He holds the CFA Charter and earned his Master of Accounting and B.S.B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill.
