Course Description:
This hands-on, one day course is designed to deepen your understanding of how to simplify the process of obtaining full-mouth dental radiographs on both dogs and cats. Foundations of learning will include concepts in workflow using your software and hardware to maximize your efficiency. A simplified method will be taught and practiced obtaining diagnostic dental radiographs and learn how to trouble shoot and work through positioning errors to correct any mistakes. The course will emphasize improving diagnostic quality through a deeper grasp of the process.
Objectives:
Attendees will leave with the knowledge to:
- Define the criteria that must be included in a diagnostic dental radiograph.
- Describe how to position the patient to increase our accuracy when obtaining full-mouth dental radiographs.
- Adjust the beam angle to ensure the teeth are not distorted in the resulting image.
- Evaluate each image for diagnostic quality.
- Identify positional errors and correct them.
- Demonstrate how to use sequencing in the software to increase efficiency.
- Build confidence and skills in dental radiology.
