Modules
Module 1 – Shared Understanding of Lean Change
Traditional change management often fails because it assumes change is a linear process that can be planned and controlled. This module introduces the foundations of Lean Change, focusing on how change actually happens in complex environments. Participants will explore why change efforts stall, the pitfalls of rigid frameworks, and how feedback-driven, iterative approaches create more meaningful and sustainable transformation.
Module 2 – Complexity and Systems Thinking
Organizations are not machines—they are complex adaptive systems where cause and effect are rarely linear. This module helps participants see the whole system, recognizing the patterns, loops, and unintended consequences that shape change efforts. Through interactive mapping exercises, participants will learn how to diagnose systemic challenges, identify leverage points, and work with complexity rather than against it.
Module 3 – Becoming a Transformative Change Agent
Leading change is not about pushing frameworks—it’s about how you show up. This module focuses on self-awareness, influence, and stance. Participants will explore their default approach to change, reflect on their strengths and biases, and learn how to adapt their role based on the situation. Through discussion and practical exercises, they will develop strategies for building trust, navigating resistance, and fostering collaboration.
Module 4 – Structure and Culture
How an organization is structured determines how well it can adapt. This module explores how hierarchies, networks, policies, and incentives shape behavior—and how those structures can either enable or hinder change. Participants will analyze different organizational designs, discuss how power dynamics influence transformation, and learn how to create conditions where adaptability emerges naturally rather than being forced.
Module 5 – Creating a Movement for Change
Change doesn’t happen because of a mandate—it happens because people care. This module focuses on how to cultivate change organically by leveraging influence, networks, and momentum. Participants will explore strategies like the Change Strategy Wheel, Lean Change Personas, and System Dynamics Mapping to design interventions that create pull for change rather than relying on top-down enforcement.
Module 6 – Adaptive Leadership
Leading transformation requires more than expertise—it requires the ability to sense, adapt, and respond in uncertain conditions. This module challenges traditional leadership mindsets, focusing on how to enable rather than direct change. Participants will explore the difference between authority and influence, learn how to navigate power dynamics, and develop adaptive leadership skills to create conditions where change can thrive.
