This online discussion group taking place on Thursday 17 September 14.00-15.00 marks the first in a new series of regular drop-in sessions created specifically for ATT members working in-house. Designed to encourage discussion and collaboration, these informal meetings provide an opportunity to connect with fellow in-house tax professionals, exchange experiences and practical insights, and discuss the issues that matter most in your day-to-day role.
Unlike a traditional webinar, each session is shaped by the attendees. Members of the ATT Technical Steering Group and Technical Team will facilitate the discussion, helping to answer practical questions and gather feedback on wider issues. Where appropriate, the Technical Team can also raise unresolved matters with HMRC on members' behalf.
Working in-house brings a unique set of opportunities and challenges. These sessions aim to provide a supportive environment where members can build their professional network, learn from their peers and explore common issues together.
Topics will vary from session to session according to attendees' priorities, but discussions may include:
- Recent policy and technical developments
- Working effectively with internal and non-tax stakeholders
- Tax technology, systems and data challenges
- Tax governance, controls and risk management
- Meeting new compliance and reporting obligations
- Emerging issues and future tax policy developments
The sessions are free to attend, take place via Zoom, and are open to all ATT members working in-house.
Please note these sessions will be live only and not recorded.
