Join us for Quantum Summit 2027, bringing together the quantum research community for two days of collaboration, research and innovation
We hope to see you in Santa Fe!
DESCRIPTION
Quantum Summit 2027 is a two-day gathering showcasing the people, capabilities, infrastructure, and partnerships shaping New Mexico’s growing quantum ecosystem. The event brings together participants from research, education, government, industry, investment, and local communities, along with national partners, federal program managers, and funders, to explore the future of quantum science and technology and its potential benefits for New Mexico.
New Mexico’s quantum ecosystem brings together expertise in fundamental and applied research, education, workforce development, infrastructure, and commercialization. National laboratories, universities, community colleges, schools, public agencies, businesses, and nonprofit organizations each play a role in its growth. Through collaboration, they advance quantum science and technology, expand educational and career pathways, and support economic development through new company formation, business growth, and job creation across the state.
The first day highlights what New Mexico has today: NM institutional commitments, research and development capabilities, pathways for starting and growing companies, and education and workforce programs, closing with a student and postdoc poster reception. The second day looks at where New Mexico goes next: state strategy and investment, New Mexico's place in the national quantum ecosystem, industry engagement, and access to capital.
The summit welcomes anyone interested in learning about quantum technologies and contributing to their development and use. Participants will exchange ideas. Meet potential collaborators, and explore opportunities for partnership, funding, and careers across quantum computing, simulation, communication, sensing, materials, devices, and enabling technologies. Quantum Summit 2027 aims to establish an annual forum that complements existing initiatives, strengthens partnerships with local and national stakeholders, and expands opportunities for participation throughout New Mexico and beyond.
