EVENT REGISTRATION BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

CORP COMM is the conference organiser for this event acting as agent on behalf of the client, being Sydney Local Health District (SLHD)

1. All transactions are processed in Australian dollars ($AUD).

2. Payment details.

Credit card: AMEX (1.7% fee)

Direct Debit: Please reference your payment with your invoice number or last name*

Cvent Service Fee: $7.70
A non-refundable Cvent Service Fee of $7.70 applies to all online registrations, regardless of payment method. The fee contributes to the costs of registration platform services, payment processing, and the administration of online bookings.

3. All monies due and payable must be received (and cheques cleared) by the CORP COMM prior to the event.

4. CANCELLATION POLICY: All refund requests must be in writing and received one month prior to the start date of the event. In the event of cancellation, a full refund, less a $75.00 cancellation fee, is available if CORP COMM is advised of cancellation in writing one month prior to the start date of the event. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this date for any reason. Any refunds due will be reimbursed after the completion of the conference.

5. PRIVACY STATEMENT – CORP COMM will collect and store the information you provide in this registration form for administrative and planning purposes to facilitate your requirements in relation to the current Conference and for the future planning and development of subsequent Conferences related to the client. The information that you provide in the registration form and information provided at any other time during the conference, including without limitation any feedback obtained during the conference, will be used by the CORP COMM to offer, provide and continue to improve the client’s future conferences, and will be disclosed to the client for its use relating to the conference and future conferences.

CORP COMM may also use your personal information for marketing purposes in order to make you aware of new and additional products, services and opportunities available to you. CORP COMM may disclose some of the information that is collected in the registration form such as your name, your organisation and its location to conference sponsors and exhibitors for further marketing purposes If you do not want your details to be disclosed to sponsors, exhibitors, or used for marketing purposes, you can opt out by emailing CORP COMM or by indicating your preference during the registration process.

If you are a guest staying at the Hyatt Hotel, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

(a) You are aware of and have read the Hyatt Privacy Policy available at http://privacy.hyatt.com;

(b) You consent to CORP COMM collecting and disclosing your personal information to the Hyatt Hotel as required for administrative and planning purposes; and.

6. SECURITY POLICY - When purchasing from CORP COMM, your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology.128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion years to break and is the industry standard. 7. I understand that all information provided at the Event is for educational purposes only.

8. Unauthorised filming or transmitting of any live or video surgery that may be presented during the Event is strictly prohibited and I understand Term 12 applies if I am found to be filming in these circumstances. In addition, I will be required to, and agree to, delete any unauthorised footage filmed.

9. Unless otherwise instructed by SLHD, the use of photographs is permitted on the provision that any visual material that involves a patient contains no identifiable personal information about the patient, including but not limited to name and date of birth.

10. I acknowledge that I may be filmed, sound recorded and/or photographed by SLHD, or a third party approved by SLHD at the Event. I consent to the release, publication, exhibition or reproduction of all recorded media and photographs of my appearance, voice, and name by SLHD, or a third party approved by SLHD, for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity including but not limited to use on websites, in social media, reports and advertising. SLHD is not obliged to provide me with any such recording or photographs.

11. I agree to comply with all reasonable directions issued by SLHD, a third party approved by SLHD, CORP COMM, or the Venue operators at the Event.

12. SLHD and CORP COMM reserve the right, without any liability, to refuse admission to, or to remove a Participant/Attendee from the Event, in its absolute discretion, including (without limitation), for failure to comply with these Terms, or if in the opinion of SLHD or CORP COMM the Participant/Attendee represents a security risk, nuisance or disturbance to the running of the Event, or behaves in a threatening or offensive manner.

13. SLHD and CORP COMM as authorised by SLHD reserves the right at any time to:

(a) change the format, program, speaker, content, location and timing or any other aspect of the Event, including during the Event;

(b) pull any live transmission from being broadcast. In the event this occurs, every effort will be made to provide a program of equivalent standard;

(d) cancel the Event or any part of the Event,

and will not be liable for any damages, costs, losses or expenses of any kind that I may incur or suffer as a result of, or in relation to, SLHD modifying, postponing or cancelling the Event or any part of the Event.

14. Limitations of Liability and Indemnity

14.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SLHD, its employees and agents will not be liable for personal injury or death, property damage, or any other loss (including without limitation, liability for negligence, breach of these Terms or any other agreement), damage, cost or expense (including, without limitation, loss of profits, business interruption, direct, indirect, special, punitive or consequential loss or other damages) that I may incur or suffer arising out of or in connection with the Event.

14.2 I acknowledge and agree that I am at all times responsible for my personal possessions such as bags, mobile phones and other items I bring to the Event and must not leave any of my possessions unattended at any time.

14.3 I agree to fully indemnify and hold SLHD, its employees and agents harmless from any claim, cost, demand, liability or damage (including legal costs, professional costs and other expenses on a full indemnity basis) incurred by SLHD arising out of or in connection with Participant/Attendee’s attendance at the Event, including but not limited to the Participant/Attendee’s

(a) breach of these Terms;

(b) use of the Venue;

(d) the infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any third party.

15. General

15.1 CORP COMM and SLHD reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time as updated on the Event’s website https://sydneyroboticssummit.com.au. It is my responsibility to review the Terms prior to attending the Event.

15.2 The failure or delay on the part of a party in exercising, in part or whole, any power, right or remedy conferred upon that party by these Terms shall not operate as a waiver of that power, right or remedy.

15.3 If any provision of these Terms is found by any court, tribunal, administrative body or authority of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable then that provision shall, to the extent required, be severed from these Terms without affecting any other provisions of these Terms which shall remain in full force and effect.

15.4 The interpretation and construction of these Terms shall be governed and determined in accordance with the laws of New South Wales and each party submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
