Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 July 2027 - Congress Days

The 55th IPA International Psychoanalytical Congress will take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre (West Building) in Vancouver, Canada, from Sunday 25 to Thursday 29 July 2027. The Congress brings together analysts, candidates, scholars, and colleagues from around the world for dialogue, participation, and sustained psychoanalytic reflection, with the 29th IPSO Conference running alongside for psychoanalytic candidates.The programme combines keynote conversations with participatory discussion formats, encouraging active engagement across clinical, scientific, interdisciplinary, and cultural perspectives. 

Selected content generated during the in-person Congress will be used to develop a subsequent online event, designed to extend Congress dialogue and to connect colleagues who attend in person with those who are unable to do so. The online event will follow the Congress structure and will include recordings of keynote conversations, together with a programme of facilitated online discussion groups.  While closely linked to the in-person Congress, the online event will not replicate the full in-person Congress experience.
