Jumping Into the Reading Rope @ PS 343

During these 2 interactive sessions educators will dive into the Science of Reading and Scarborough’s Reading Rope. Participants will explore how word recognition and language comprehension intertwine to support strong reading development. These sessions will focus on practical strategies applicable for targeted small-group settings to help readers build confidence and skills.

Participants will:

• Examine the strands of Scarborough’s Reading Rope to uncover effective ways to support students whose reading skills are still developing.
• Explore instructional strategies to strengthen targeted small-group instruction and boost success for striving readers.
