2026 AMIE Annual Conference

The 2026 AMIE Annual Conference and Gala hosted by Howard University will be held on Sunday, September 20th through Tuesday, September 22nd at The Westin DC Downtown and Howard University in Washington, DC.  This year’s theme is “Advancing Global Competitiveness: HBCUs Driving Innovation in AI, Technology Transfer, Emerging Technologies, and Strategic Industry–Government Partnerships.”

The conference will be an innovative interactive experience as we bring together the Council of Engineering Deans of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities, students, engineering professionals and leaders from top corporations and government agencies.  The AMIE Annual Conference will also feature prominent speakers and inspiring panel discussions.

About Us:

AMIE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to expand corporate and government alliances with the (17) Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Schools of Engineering with ABET accredited engineering programs to implement and support programs to attract, educate, graduate and place students in engineering and computer science careers.
