IFA Strategic Forum 2026,
Resilience Reimagined: planning for unpredictability
Resilience used to mean recovering from one shock at a time. It now means committing to long-term decisions while several pressures build at once, and while the next disruption is already forming.
The IFA Strategic Forum brings senior decision-makers from across the global plant nutrition industry to Lisbon to examine what resilience means for the fertilizer industry.
➭ The pressures on supply
Speakers from government, international institutions, and independent analysts will map the forces reshaping fertilizer supply chains, and will examine the food-demand projections the industry plans against.
➭ New competition for resources and a talent pipeline
Other low-carbon energy deployment is bidding for the same resources the industry depends on. And AI, while sharpening precision agriculture, it is also disrupting the pathways through which the sector has always built its next talent generation.
➭ Building resilience earlier
Sessions will look at how agricultural resilience can be strengthened before a shock rather than after it, how technology is changing the work itself, and how sustainable intensification can serve food security and conservation at the same time.
➭ How the industry presents itself
The fertilizer industry is facing unprecedented political and media attention. Leading communicators join the program to explore how the industry can navigate this scrutiny and communicate its role effectively.
