Ground Transportation

For the CAST program, vans will be rented to transport participants to/from Intuitive Surgical and the Staybridge Suites each day. On the evenings and weekends the vans can be used to run errands. The vans are shared between 1 van driver and 4 passengers. To be a volunteer van driver you can sign-up when you register. Driver information and van group assignments will be sent out 1 week before arrival.

 

All Participants: 

You will use Lyft for your arrival and departure transportation. Your Lyft code is "2019TechCAST1”. The code is only good for transportation to/from the airport. For all other transportation you will use your van groups. Assigned volunteer drivers and van groups will be sent out before you arrive.

US participants check-in date will be Tuesday, January 22nd and checkout date will be Wednesday, February 13th.   For International pariticipants, check-in date will be Monday, January 21st.  Hotel room and tax is billed directly to Intuitive Surgical.  

 

A room has already been reserved for you! No need to book a hotel. Everyone will be staying at the Staybridge Suites sharing a 2-bedroom apartment with roommates. Each roommate will have their own private bedroom and bathroom with a shared common area. A roommate preference can be listed when you register. 

Meals and Expenses

CAST will provide lunch, snacks and beverages during the program.  Breakfast, dinner and weekend meals should be expensed on your Company Amex, per our company policy. After CAST is over, you will be responsible for submitting an expense report for reimbursement of those expenses not billed directly to Intuitive Surgical.

 

Save receipts for the following:
  • Hotel Incidentals (room & tax billed directly to Intuitive Surgical)
  • Meal Receipts (With the exception of lunch, snacks & beverages on campus). Receipts must be itemized.
  • Fuel Receipts (Volunteer drivers only)
Dress Code

The dress code is business casual for the duration of CAST.   This means no jackets or ties required. Jeans and other casual attire are not permitted.   Throughout Technical CAST we will have dedicated scrub days.  You will be informed on what days you should be wearing your scrubs.  You will be provided with scrubs, please bring comfortable shoes.
