2026 1EdTech Technical Congress
Annual Member Meeting
October 19–21 | Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
Event information
The Technical Congress is a working meeting for 1EdTech members to advance cross-specification collaboration, standards governance, and other key initiatives our community is leading.
This year's meeting follows one thread through four themes.
- Making learning portable, both the context that AI-enabled tools need and the skill definitions that give learning its meaning.
- Evolving the 1EdTech Security Framework for the latest best practices, MCP, and the agent-driven patterns arriving behind them.
- Making student progress measurable across systems, so that instructors and the tools they use have a consistent and unambiguous view of how a learner is doing.
- Weaving together identity, experiences, skills, and credentials to create a richer, more connected learner journey.
Work will take place in table discussions and breakouts led by the technical program managers and architects who oversee each specification.
Who Should Attend?
- Members actively participating in 1EdTech technical working groups
- Members who want to learn more about and get engaged in 1EdTech projects
- Industry leaders, AI experts, and education technology professionals interested in building interoperable infrastructure for education and workforce systems.
