Marking a historic milestone for the Annual
New Mexico Water Conference
The New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute invites water professionals, students, and community members to take part in the 70th Annual New Mexico Water Conference. This year’s conference theme, Research with Impact, underscores the importance of hardworking individuals and organizations across the state conducting critical water resources studies, along with equally dedicated managers, operators, and policymakers putting those results into practice on the ground. The long history of the New Mexico Water Conference illustrates the need for science-based understanding and management of water has grown since the first conference in 1956.
This year’s conference will be held October 21-23, 2025, in Las Cruces at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, with a virtual option also available. Join us Tuesday, October 21, for an optional pre-conference field trip, a water research funding workshop, and a welcome reception. October 22 and 23 will feature presentations from water researchers, managers, engineers, and community members sharing current information on water needs and challenges facing New Mexico, and lessons learned.
Thank you to everyone who attended this year's conference!
