TRAVEL PLANNING GUIDANCE
CRUISE + COUNCIL
Fly into Tampa TPA. Aim to arrive to the ship no later than Thursday, 27 May 2027 2:00 PM for a 4:00 PM sailing.
We will provide bus transfers from the Tampa Port directly to the General Council 2027 in Orlando, FL on Monday, 31 May. Then depart from Orlando MCO.

Booking Flights: Primarily aim to fly into the Tampa International Airport (TPA) which is approximately 8–10 miles, and 15–25 minutes by car / taxi / Uber / Lyft from TPA to Terminal 6, Port Tampa Bay.
Do not book flights on your own, unless you are booking them separately using your TDY organizational funding. Prior to booking flights with our travel agency, conduct a little Market Research (i.e. Google Flights) and select 3 options. Then contact IMTravel with those options and they will assist you. Aim for the most economical fare and use major airports where possible. This option will ensure that my ACM credit card is charged and minimize reimbursements with economical fares.
In order to minimize airline travel reimbursements, use the IMTravel for the flights and register here.
Follow these instructions:
(1) Provide your traveler information.
(2) Department and Organization Name: C&MA Alliance Chaplain Ministries.
(3) Reason for Travel: click “Attend Alliance Chaplain Ministries Event”.
(4) If any problems occur with this process, please let us know immediately.
(5) If you do not receive quotes from IM Travel in a timely manner, please phone: 719-597-0581 or 1-800-273-0793.
(6) In the “Additional Comments” section cut, and paste the following paragraph and then add any specific requests:

NOTE: Go ahead and cover airport parking expenses at your departure city.
A pre‑Council cruise may raise questions if not clearly distinct from official duty. Attendance should therefore be considered leave in conjunction with TDY for General.
After all of this, keep your registration confirmation # handy and then go back into the registration and insert your flight numbers, arrival day and time.
TRAVELLING BY CAR
Retain fuel receipts and submit these receipts for reimbursement to the ACM by attaching them and completing the ACM Reimbursement Form.
