Strengthening Connections with Families through Live Video Visits: A Facilitated Discussion Series

September 11, 2025 – October 6, 2025

Live Online via Zoom

SUMMARY

This 5-session reflective discussion series is designed for Early Intervention Providers who are actively supporting families through direct-service live video visits. This offering provides Early Interventionists with an opportunity to reflect on their work, share insight, experiences and strengthen their live video coaching skills. This interactive series is intended to support practitioners as they integrate family centered practices, the mission and principles of Early Intervention, and live video visits. Building a collaborative relationship between families and professionals is imperative and may require different approaches within live video visits.  This series will support providers in building relationships, engaging families in open dialog, and ultimately maximizing everyday learning opportunities between live video visits. Through reflective discussion and collaboration, providers will gain awareness of the ways in which they are building intentional relationships with families, supporting children’s and families’ development, identify and share these strategies with peers, and recognize their impact on the children and families they support.

Participation in all components of this discussion series is required to receive a certificate of participation with 10 contact hours of IL Early Intervention credentialing credit.
