Your future in education is already taking shape. What’s next? You.

Join aspiring educators from across Tennessee for a day designed to connect, challenge, and prepare the next generation of educators.

The Tennessee Aspiring Educators Summit brings together Educators Rising students and Student Tennessee Education Association (STEA) members for an experience built around where you are now—and where you’re headed next.

Throughout the summit, you’ll connect with other aspiring educators, learn from educators already doing the work, build skills you can carry forward, and explore the many ways you can make an impact through public education.

With shared experiences that bring everyone together and dedicated tracks for high school and collegiate participants, Next Up: You recognizes that there’s more than one path to the classroom—and every journey has a next step.

TWO TRACKS. ONE COMMUNITY.

Educators Rising
Explore the possibilities. Put your skills to work. Connect with students who share your interest in education. Participate in competitions, student leadership opportunities, and experiences created specifically for aspiring educators at the high school level.

Student TEA
Get ready for what comes next. Connect with future colleagues and practicing educators while exploring the transition from educator preparation to your own classroom. Sessions are designed to build your professional knowledge, confidence, leadership, and community as you prepare to enter the profession.

AND WHEN THE PATHS COME TOGETHER...

We learn from one another.

Joint summit experiences will connect high school students, collegiate aspiring educators, and current educators—creating opportunities to share perspectives, build relationships, and see the educator pipeline in action.

You may be exploring the profession. You may be preparing for student teaching. You may be getting ready to lead your own classroom.

Wherever you are on the journey, there’s a next step waiting.

NEXT UP: YOU.
