The New Mexico Water Resources Research Institute (NM WRRI) invites attendees to the 66th Annual New Mexico Water Conference, once again being held virtually. Register now for New Mexico’s premier annual water conference being held October 26-28, 2021, with a pre-conference virtual field trip taking place Monday, October 25.
The conference, titled Reality and Resilience: Planning for New Mexico’s Water Future, promises to be a pivot point, encompassing challenges faced in our water and climate outlook as well as sharing existing and future strategies for building resilience across New Mexico’s diverse hydrologic and cultural landscape.
How can existing management practices inform planning that builds sustainability and resilience across New Mexico communities and stakeholder groups? What tools and research are needed to inform long-term water planning? Which climate adaptation strategies are appropriate to different water users around the state?
Breakout sessions throughout the conference are designed to allow each participant to share their perspectives on water resilience strategies, challenges, and perspectives on how cutting edge water research can inform New Mexico's water future.
Virtual Poster Session
October 27 and 28, from 8:30 to 10:00 am
This year's virtual poster session, once again held in two parts on October 27 and 28, 2021, offers a wonderful opportunity for participants to learn about current water research taking place around the state.
Accepted poster presenters will also have the opportunity to take part in a poster competition, with $50 gift cards awarded to the top five presenters.
Conference registrants will vote to select the top posters from the accepted abstracts throughout the conference.
Accepted presenters will have the option of submitting a pre-recorded video presentation if their schedule will not allow for live participation.
