If you’ve ever felt like tweens, teens, or young adults could be helped by improving how their parents interact with them, this training is for you! Your Parent Compass is an evidence-informed curriculum designed to strengthen caregiver–youth interactions, particularly for families navigating mental health, behavioral, developmental, and/or trauma/attachment challenges. Drawing from DBT, Parent Management Training, and collaborative problem-solving approaches, it offers practical, research-based strategies caregivers can apply at home. Your Parent Compass can be delivered as a structured class or integrated into individual parent sessions, whether or not the youth is in treatment. Parents who have also participated in DBT multifamily skills groups report that Your Parent Compass further enhanced their parenting confidence and effectiveness.
