Over the last several years, as the benefits of exercise have been widely acknowledged, there has been a dramatic increase in participation in sports and fitness-related activities by all age groups.  This increase in sports and fitness-related participation has lead to an increasing number of musculoskeletal injuries to these higher-level recreational and aspiring athletes.

The goal of this seminar series is to accelerate the mastery of advanced skills for managing this growing athletic population, from the novice to the elite athlete.

Combining online and in-person instruction, this seminar series will build upon the fundamentals of orthopedic physical therapy, clinical reasoning, manual therapy, and movement science, integrating these fundamentals with training in sport specific examination and rehabilitation.

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills across a range of topics: emergency and acute care management; lower and upper extremity imaging, movement analysis and retraining; psychological and nutritional considerations; and medical conditions in athletes.

This seminar series is a component of the educational instruction for clinical residency and fellowship programs, but is open also to participants who wish to take the series as a bundle or single modules for continuing professional education.

This Interactive Experience will use Video Demonstrations, Lectures, Discussions and hands-on labs to deliver a world-class education at the USC Sports Residency Program level!
