Post-Reading Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How will I be paid for the scoring work that I did?
Readers and Leaders are paid based on the hours they actually worked. As an at-home AP® Reader, you will be paid a regular hourly rate for:
- Training on the prompt(s) you were assigned
- Scoring of student responses
Any time worked outside of the ONE application, time spent on individual technical issues, and additional Learning Course training time should have been submitted to S&R Ops via the AP Time Reporting Submission Form. Failure to submit the form may result in hours not being added to your pay.
2. When will I receive payment for my work during the Reading?
Visit the Raise FAQs for detailed information regarding payment schedules, methods of payment, and other related topics.
3. How can I receive my payment by direct deposit?
Paychecks will be issued by direct deposit or mail. To ensure timely payment, please log in to the Raise App to enroll in direct deposit and verify your mailing address and other personal information. If you’ve already submitted your banking details, no further action is required unless you need to make updates.
Please be aware that paychecks must be cashed or deposited within six months of check issuance.
4. What should I do if my address has changed or if I need to update my contact information?
Access the Raise App to view and update your Raise records. If you forget your login or password, use the options within the system to retrieve the information.
If you continue to have difficulties accessing the system or if your name has changed, contact Raise:
- Email: support@raise.team
- Phone: 1-346-771-5690 or 1-888-315-6160 (toll-free)
5. How will I be compensated if I took more than my credited amount of time to complete the Learning Course?
If you submitted the AP Time Reporting Submission Form for all instances where you spent longer than your credited time to complete your Learning Course, the additional time should be included in your paycheck. If you feel this wasn’t included in your pay, contact ReadAP@ets.org.
Note: If a form is submitted after the current Raise work week, payment will be included in the paycheck of the next Raise work week.
6. How will I be compensated if I experienced a systemwide technical outage?
In the rare circumstance where there is an ETS system outage preventing online Readers and Leaders from working in ONE, the Readers and Leaders who were logged in at the beginning of the outage will receive an email with more information about compensation for the outage time.
7. Will I be compensated if I experienced a personal technical issue during the Reading?
If you experienced an individual technical issue preventing log in and provided a Help Desk ticket number to ETS via the AP Time Reporting Submission Form, this time should have been added to your paycheck.
For additional information, refer to the "Individual Technical Issues" section of the Time Tracking page.
Note: If you experienced an individual technical issue that originated from your end (e.g., internet access unavailable, computer doesn’t pass ONE system check, etc.), you will not be paid for working time missed to fix this problem.
If you feel a compensable technical issue wasn’t included in your pay, contact ReadAP@ets.org.
8. How will I receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for participating in the Reading?
All Readers and Leaders who participated in the 2026 AP Reading will receive CEU credits based on number of hours worked during the Pre-Reading (if applicable to your role) and Reading. You must also demonstrate consistent and accurate application of a standardized scoring rubric. You will receive a personalized Certificate of Recognition by email in early July.
For every 10 hours worked, Readers and Leaders will receive 1 CEU. The maximum number of CEUs a Reader or Leader can receive is 16. CEUs will not be issued for any time worked under 10 hours.
Note: Chief Readers, Chief Reader Designates, and Assistants to the Chief Reader are not eligible to receive the CEU certificates.
9. How do I access CEUs earned from previous years?
To receive your transcript from a previous year, contact ReadAP@ets.org.
