This webinar will give context to the intersectionality of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity faced by Latinx LGBTQ+ communities. Presenters from the LGBT Center of Los Angeles will explore the rich and sometimes traumatic history of the Latinx culture while examining how LGBTQ+ identities and behavioral health are perceived within the culture. The presenters will also share knowledge to assist with transitioning from rejecting behaviors to affirming, culturally responsive best practices when providing behavioral health care to the Latinx community.
