Share your scholarly research and innovative pursuits at ACRL 2027.

Academic libraries have long been a place of solace and respite, and our ability to bring people together is more important than ever. In an increasingly divided world, our challenge is to find and support the communities that nurture us so that we, in turn, can support the educational communities that depend upon us.

ACRL 2027 will offer a platform for us to engage in critical conversations and explore solutions-centered approaches to the challenges facing our profession. For this conference, we are focusing on themes such as building coalitions and mutual-support networks, creating effective professional development opportunities for library workers in all stages of their careers, and living out our shared values in difficult times.

Whether you join us in person or virtually, we invite you to be a part of this important conversation. In these turbulent times, our sense of community grounds us and reminds us that we are not facing these challenges alone.

We welcome you to share your academic research and innovative projects at ACRL 2027. This year’s conference offers eight unique session formats designed to accommodate a variety of presentation and learning styles. Whether you’re a first-time presenter or an experienced expert, there’s a format that’s perfect for showcasing your ideas.

Participation Limits

To allow as many individuals as possible to participate as conference presenters, an individual may submit (or be included as a co-presenter on) a maximum of two proposals for the spring deadline (June 5, 2026) and a maximum of two proposals for the fall deadline (October 16, 2026). While this means a potential maximum of four total submissions, an individual can present a maximum of two times during the ACRL Conference. If an individual is accepted for more than two programs, the individual will need to confirm with ACRL which two programs they plan to present/be listed in the program in order to comply with the two-presentation limit.

Invitation for Full and Broad Community Participation

ACRL is committed to fostering an environment that advances learning and community-building opportunities for individuals and groups across a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences. We welcome participation from individuals with a variety of professional backgrounds representing all types of libraries, roles, and experience, including non-library faculty, staff, and administrators. Individuals are encouraged to address, if applicable, how their proposed sessions are informed by their expertise, background, and experiences, and how their sessions will promote dialogue and broaden the perspectives of conference attendees.
