AENJ's Metamorphic Conference provides a comprehensive array of professional development opportunities, featuring over 24 hours of workshops. These include offsite and onsite hands-on workshops, best practices lectures, student round tables, informational sessions, and numerous networking opportunities.
Pre-Conference events will be held locally off-site. Those registered for an off-site ticketed hands-on workshop will need to present their name and identification to enter the event since it is specifically designed for AENJ conference attendees.
Day one of the conference begins with check-in and in-person registration starting at 7:00 AM on Monday, October 26, 2026. Breakfast included both days starting at 7:30 AM.
Day two, Tuesday, October 27, 2026 starts bright and early at 7:30 AM with a continental breakfast for our hotel guests followed by our Keynote speaker of the day, on-site ticketed hands-on workshops, best-practice lectures, student round table presentations, and informational sessions.
Sessions Descriptions
Ticketed Hands-On Workshops (90 Minutes) are available to conference attendees for an extra cost. These interactive sessions provide time for direct instruction from the presenter and ample time for attendees to engage in the art-making process making samples of the workshop theme for their own classrooms.
Best Practice Lectures (50 Minutes) are free to all attendees. These lectures present content area information, tips, and tricks of the field, new lessons/activities, and highlights of helpful information for educators and artists inside the classroom. Held in a traditional lecture style, the presenter leads the talk as attendees take in the shared information. Time for Q&A typically occurs at the end of the lecture.
Student Roundtables (50 Minutes) are free to all attendees. These are small group lessons and activity presentations by pre-service/college students. These presentations are quick and allow for activities, dialogue, and Q&A among presenters and attendees.
Informational Sessions are free presentations providing focused information on a specific topic ranging from career readiness to cutting-edge programs or technology. This is a traditional lecture-style presentation that offers our attendees useful information.
