Amtrak Technical Tour (Optional): On Monday, October 19, from 9:30am to 12:00pm, annual meeting attendees will have the opportunity to get a tour of the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal (NOUPT), the coach and engine yard, and car wash facility. NOUPT is the last Union Station built in the United States (completed 1954). It is the major southern terminus hub for Amtrak, serving three long-distance trains, the City of New Orleans, Crescent, Sunset Limited, and the twice-daily Mardi Gras Service.

Itinerary:

9:00 a.m.: Meet in the hotel lobby.

9:30 a.m.: 5-minute walk to Canal at Bourbon Street stop.

9:45 a.m.: 15-minute Streetcar ride to NOUPT.

10:00 a.m.: Tour begins.

11:45 a.m.: Return to the hotel.
