Stepping Up to Every Challenge and Seizing Every Opportunity: Facilitating Profoundly Impactful Law and Policy Work at Pivot Points
“There goes my hero…” – Foo Fighters
The higher education industry has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability in the face of polycrises and near constant law and policy demands to pivot, redesign and adapt. The 2027 event celebrates and seeks to facilitate interdisciplinary higher education professionals in their work. Join fellow every-day higher education heroes on the beach at the nation's premier and longest-running interdisciplinary conference, Stetson Law's 47th Annual National Conference on Law & Higher Education. Together we will explore the ever-evolving and wide range of intersecting law and policy challenges for modern institutions of higher education and develop approaches to assist the field—and you—in these times. Our field has been tested to the core. We have risen to challenges and will continue to explore the opportunities that lie ahead for higher education.
We have been at work since our last event creating sessions and securing speakers for the 2027 event. Anticipated topics to be covered at the conference include:
- Title VI
- Title IX
- Accreditation
- Age discrimination
- First Amendment issues, including campus speech and protests
