Summary

Electric trucks are set to revolutionize medium and heavy-duty transportation across the US. While the Trump Administration’s orders may have introduced some challenges, the momentum behind fleet electrification has already gained significant strength, positioning it to overcome the setbacks.

Eastern states have made considerable progress in advancing clean transportation initiatives. States such as New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Vermont have implemented advanced clean truck programs. Businesses with large fleets are committed to transitioning to zero-emission vehicles. The industry is consistently innovating to reduce costs and enhance charging options. Electric power utilities in these eastern states are collaborating to expand truck charging infrastructure and improve grid availability. This combination of state-level actions, industry innovations, and infrastructure development provides a strong foundation for a rapid transition toward a zero-emission heavy-duty fleet.

Following the success of our inaugural event in December 2024 in San Francisco, Global Transmission Report is excited to announce a second conference on Electric Trucking, scheduled for June 24, 2025, at Jay Conference Center Midtown East, New York (DuMont Building). Our objective is to provide a forum for discussing opportunities, identifying challenges, and finding solutions to accelerate the transition to electric trucks, advancing sustainable heavy-duty transportation in the region.

The conference will cover a wide range of topics related to electric truck adoption and will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, regulators, charging infrastructure developers, and electric truck OEMs. This gathering will facilitate valuable insights and provide networking opportunities for the attendees.
