Dr. Aaron Palke, Senior Manager of Colored Stone Research, will share GIA’s latest research on a newly-discovered source of copper-bearing tourmaline from Ethiopia. 

The Science of Fluorescence and Diamond Appearance
Dr. Yun Luo, Director of Metrology & Quality Control, will explore diamond fluorescence and share the latest research on its effects on diamond color, brightness, transparency and overall appearance.
