SUMMARY
The 2026 NCCN 2-Day Fall Policy Summit will bring together patients, providers, payers, policy makers, patient advocates, and industry leaders to thoughtfully discuss the current landscape of cancer screening and prevention services. With this new 2-day format, the event aims to provide a dynamic forum where speakers and the audience will explore the advancements made in screening and prevention at the population level as well as the individual level, and the opportunities and challenges that still exist.
Topics such as disparities in cancer screening, funding for screening infrastructure, and current initiatives to promote screening and prevention will be covered. The summit will also dive into the current screening landscape and whether it has the infrastructure to meet the needs of higher risk populations. Speakers may also discuss the opportunities and challenges at the policy level for individual screening, such as the role of USPSTF and other screening guidelines and advocacy efforts focused on addressing cost barriers for follow-up and diagnostic services. Innovations in cancer care have also provided potential opportunities to increase cancer screening and prevention, so topics including coverage mechanisms for blood-based tests, the use of AI, and the inclusion of such innovations in clinical practice guidelines may be discussed.
