Legends of Science and Surfing is a two-day event benefiting education, patient care and resources for scholars at Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health.

Groundbreaking science and the spirit of surfing come together for an unforgettable weekend benefiting cancer research at Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health. Legends of Science and Surfing brings together internationally recognized oncology experts, legendary surfers, community leaders and supporters for two inspiring days of innovation, connection and impact, all in support of advancing the future of cancer prevention, detection and treatment.

 33rd Annual Legends of Surfing Invitational

DATE: Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026

TIME: 8 a.m.-Noon

LOCATION: Scripps Pier, La Jolla

Enjoy a beachfront VIP reception featuring drinks, light bites and live music, along with a curated gathering designed to connect leaders in oncology, surfing legends and other distinguished guests.

LOCATION: Scripps Seaside Forum, La Jolla

The 33rd Annual Legends of Surfing Invitational returns to Scripps Pier, uniting surfing legends, cancer survivors and oncology leaders for a thrilling surf competition followed by a luncheon and exciting auction all to benefit cancer research.
