Call for Papers: Muography: Discoveries, Innovations, and Applications

We invite all presenters from the Technical and Poster sessions of the 2024 Muography Workshop to submit full-length research articles to the Special Issue on Muography in the Journal of Applied Physics (AIP Publishing). All accepted submissions will be published fully Open Access, with no cost to the authors. The submission deadline is March 31, 2025.

We are excited to announce the 2024 Muographers Workshop, to be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, from November 4-7. This premier event will bring together leading researchers, scientists, and practitioners in the field of muography to share their latest discoveries, innovations, and applications. Muography, also known as muon radiography or muon tomography, is a cutting-edge imaging technique that uses cosmic ray muons to explore the interior of large and dense structures. The international workshop on muography is a conference series; the previous workshop took place in Naples, Italy, June 19-22, 2023.

Conference Highlights:

  • Keynote Speakers: Renowned experts in muography and related fields will present groundbreaking research and insights.
  • Technical Sessions  : In-depth presentations and discussions on the latest advancements in muography      technology and techniques.
  • Poster Session : Opportunities for researchers to present their work and engage in discussions with peers. We especially welcome student posters, some limited travel support for students is available thanks to the workshop sponsors.
  • Networking Events  : Connect with fellow muographers from around the world to foster collaboration and share ideas.
  • Tour of Los Alamos: learn about the history of the town and the Lab at the venue of the Oppenheimer movie.

Venue: Santa Fe, New Mexico, a city rich in history and culture, provides a picturesque backdrop for this gathering of scientific minds. More travel info can be found here.
