Lobby Days is a two-day event that educates more than 1,200 students and professionals about important legislation affecting clients and the social work profession. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and get a “hands-on” lobbying experience of talking with state legislators and/or their staff about important policy issues.
Format
2026 Legislative Lobby Days will be in-person for the Conference in Sacramento on Sunday, April 12, and Lobby visits on Monday, April 13.

- Legislative Meetings (optional) - appointments will be scheduled in person at the Capitol Annex Swing Space, 1021 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
- 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Social Action Rally and Legislative appointments (Attendees must attend Sunday to participate in Monday’s appointments). The Rally will take place on the West Steps of the Capitol grounds.
Important notice: The CA State Capitol is open with limited access due to renovation. Tour availability may be restricted.

- Serve as a Team Leader and gain valuable leadership experience by helping prepare participants for their legislative appointments.
- Earn up to 8 CEUs
- 3 CEUs if you attend Sunday
- 6 CEUs if you attend both Sunday and Monday
