Earn a Credit Union Board Member Governance Foundation Certification
Michigan credit union directors, volunteers and committee members have a new way to strengthen their board knowledge, document their learning and take a meaningful step toward future certification.
New at All on BOARDS: Directors’ Symposium, the Board Certification Training: Governance Foundation Certification series gives attendees access to four focused governance sessions at no additional charge. Each session includes the option to complete a 15-question test. Those who earn a passing score of 80% or higher will receive a certificate of completion for that session. Attendees who successfully complete all four governance sessions will earn a Credit Union Board Member Governance Foundation certification.
Governance Foundations – Overview
This certification focuses on strengthening core board governance competencies. Participants will complete the following required courses:
- Board Conduct: The Foundation of Effective Governance
- Building Stronger Boards Through Diverse Perspectives
- Ethical Governance: Protecting Trust Through Integrity and Confidentiality
- Fiduciary Foundations: The Director’s Role in Effective Governance
