AGBT GENERAL MEETING OVERVIEW 

For more than 25 years, AGBT has been the premier forum where leading scientists, industry experts, innovators, and thought leaders come together to share discoveries shaping the future of genome science and technology. The 2027 meeting will build on this legacy with groundbreaking research, emerging innovations, and forward-looking discussions that continue to advance the genomics industry.

The flagship AGBT General Meeting is recognized worldwide as the preeminent event for genome science and technology. Each year, it brings together the global genomics and biotechnology community for inspiring plenary sessions, abstract-selected talks, and evening concurrent sessions that highlight both experimental and computational approaches to the latest DNA sequencing technologies.

You can either apply to attend or submit an abstract using the buttons at the bottom of this page:

  • If you plan to submit an abstract, you do not need to complete a separate application to attend.
  • After submitting either an abstract or an application, you will receive a confirmation email. Please note: this confirmation is not an acceptance to the meeting.
  • Initial acceptance and waitlist notifications will be sent by Thursday, November 19, 2026. More invitations may be offered if space allows.
  • The AGBT General Meeting is hosted by The Genome Partnership,  a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the genomics industry.

All accepted applicants will be notified on Thursday, November 19, 2026. If you are not accepted at that time, you will automatically be added to our waitlist. We expect to share any updates on available spots by the end of 2026 or in early 2027. If you do not hear from us by then, it means the 2027 meeting is full and no more space is available.

Reminder: If you are submitting an abstract, you do not need to apply separately to attend. Your abstract submission serves as your application.
