Fees at the CSAE Conference 2024
Registration fee
The Conference registration fee is £295. This includes access to all sessions, the CSAE Conference app, and meals. Payment must be made by credit card as part of the registration process.
There is no registration fee for CSAE members (at the University of Oxford) and funded speakers (confirmed in November 2023 by email).
Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you would like to cancel your conference order please let us know as soon as you can. We will be able to refund your registration booking as follows:
By end of Saturday 02 March 2024: 100% (minus £20 admin fee);
By end of Saturday 09 March 2024: 50% (minus £20 admin fee).
If you cancel your booking any later than Saturday 09 March 2024 we will not be able to refund your registration fee, as we will already have sent funds to the conference venue. Please note that refunds will take up to three weeks to process; and that there is a GBP20 non-refundable deposit on all bookings.
Accommodation bookings are not being arranged through the CSAE. The CSAE accepts no liability for these costs.
CSAE Water Bottle
As part of our 'going green' commitment at the CSAE Conference, we won't be providing disposable cups for water at the venue. You can bring your own water bottle or purchase a CSAE water bottle to collect and use at the event for £7.50.
Bottles are purchased as part of the registration process and are available in four colours. Find out more on our Going Green page.

Gambling on Development: Why Some Countries Win and Other Lose is a book by CSAE Director Stefan Dercon asking how do countries achieve development?
You can purchase a copy of the book at the discounted price of £10 as part of the registration process, only for CSAE Conference 2024 participants.
Orders will be available to collect at the event in March.
Accommodation
Rooms are available to book at St Catherine's College (the event venue) for the duration of the conference. Bookings must be made directly via St Catherine's using the event code CSAE2024 (not as part of the registration process).
CSAE accepts no liability for purchases of accommodation.
