Event Registration Information

As part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration, Dialogue Vanderbilt’s 250 Conversations on America: Civil Discourse in Action is a yearlong event series that reflects Vanderbilt University’s enduring commitment to open dialogue, intellectual curiosity, and civic engagement.

In the weeks leading up to the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, Dialogue Vanderbilt will host a weekly conversation centered on a timely issue shaping the national dialogue. Each session will feature one or more guest speakers whose expertise aligns with the week’s topic, ranging from Vanderbilt faculty members and researchers to industry leaders and public policy experts.

Held at Vanderbilt University’s Central Library, these conversations invite members of the Vanderbilt community to engage directly with experts, ask questions, and participate in meaningful dialogue about the issues influencing the upcoming election.

The Midterms event schedule is presented in partnership with Vandy Votes, a student-led campus organization dedicated to increasing civic participation by helping students stay informed, register to vote, and access nonpartisan voting resources. Together, Dialogue Vanderbilt and Vandy Votes aim to foster informed civic engagement while creating space for respectful, evidence-based conversations across differing viewpoints.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
