Coaching to close the gap between where you are now professionally and/or personally and where you want to be.
This is a 30 min session.

If you answered yes to any of these, consider this confidential 30 min coaching session and explore ways to get back on track to a flourishing life. 

NCAFP and AAFP members from other state chapters can reserve a coaching session on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Secure your preferred day during online registration.

Once registered, you’ll receive an email confirmation with your scheduled session details.

  • Sessions are $50 each
  • Limited availability
  • Scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Participation is exclusive to NCAFP and AAFP members.

30-Minute Mini Coaching Sessions Are Available:

  • Thursday 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Friday 8:30 am - 11:30 am
  • Friday 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Saturday 8:30 am to 11:30 am

Meet Your  Personal Coach: Dr. Dael Waxman

Dael Waxman, M.D., is a professional life coach specializing in coaching physicians. He is an Emeritus Professor of Family Medicine at Atrium Health – Wake Forest School of Medicine, where he served as Vice Chair and Interim Chair of the Department. While at Atrium, he also created the position of Medical Director of Physician Well-being for Medical Education.

He is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, did his residency in Family Medicine as well as served as Chief Resident at the University of Arizona, and completed a Family Systems Medicine/Advanced Psychosocial Fellowship at the University of Rochester.

As a graduate of the HealthCare Coaching Institute, Dael has a focus on leadership, life, and professional well-being coaching. He conducts retreats and facilitates workshops on professional and personal well-being and has presented regionally, nationally, and internationally on: physician burnout, coaching in healthcare, person-centered care, mindfulness in medicine, physician-patient communication, developing a patient and family centered culture, family influences on health, and collaboration between mental health and primary care.

In addition to his medical and coaching certifications, he has received training in and has been integrating family therapy, clinical hypnosis, mind/body medicine, mindfulness into teaching, practice, and professional development for over 25 years.
