The American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) are excited to partner for the third year on the Swings for STEM golf tournament in Leesburg, VA.
The Swings for STEM charity golf event aims to raise awareness and financial support for the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) and Creating Exciting Futures in STEM (CEF), bringing together leading organizations to support these great causes and support the future STEM workforce, all while networking with industry peers.
Building on its strong momentum, Swings for STEM has quickly become a premier industry event. Each year, the tournament convenes chemical industry professionals, association partners, Congressional staff, students, and representatives from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for a day of networking and camaraderie on the course, all in support of advancing STEM education.
With the continued support and engagement of ACC members, allied trade associations, and dedicated STEM champions, the event has raised more than $175,000 to date to advance STEM education and workforce development over the past two years.

About the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative
Launched in 2020 by ACC, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), The Chemours Company, and the HBCU Week Foundation, FOSSI is a nationwide program that seeks to increase the number of qualified professionals in the STEM workforce by providing scholarships to students pursuing preferred STEM degrees at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). To date, 80+ organizations have raised over $40MM to support over 820 scholarships through 2028. All donations and sponsorships of scholarships under FOSSI are managed under AIChE’s philanthropic arm, the AIChE Foundation.
