COURSE OVERVIEW
Caught in the Drama! explores the growing impact of social aggression among school-aged girls, including exclusion, rumor spreading, manipulation, cyber-conflict, and friendship struggles that often occur in the “blind spots” of adults. Participants will examine current research, myths and facts surrounding relational aggression, and the connection between bullying, belonging, school climate, and adolescent development. Through a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) lens, educators will learn practical, relationship-centered strategies for creating safe, inclusive, and emotionally supportive learning environments while proactively addressing bullying behaviors before they escalate. Participants will leave with immediately applicable classroom and schoolwide strategies that strengthen student relationships, build empathy and accountability, and support positive school culture. Jan Davis will be facilitating this course.
Grade Level: K-12 Educators. You do not need to be actively teaching in a classroom.
