Summary

This training is required for individuals entering the Illinois Early Intervention System as a Service Coordinator at a Child & Family Connections (CFC). 

A new cohort forms each month with new service coordinators completing the online, self-paced modules in the "cohort month", and a series of 4 live webinars (90 minutes each) in the following month. All modules and webinars are required components of this training.

It is a comprehensive course designed to ensure the sharing of current and consistent information between new service coordinators and the CFC office through workbook activities that allow guided practice for activities within their role within the early intervention system with an experienced CFC team member.

Registration Details

If you missed a webinar from a previous cohort, do not register in a new Cohort.

Registration includes the following:

    1) Online Course Modules - using the EITP Canvas learning management system must be completed by September 1, 2026

    2) Live Webinars - using Zoom online platform (meeting details will be in your registration confirmation email)

 After your registration is complete, you will receive an automatic email with specific access information.  Please read emails carefully.

Hours of EI Credit (30 total)

  • 5 hours in the Area of Assessment
  • 4 hours in the Area of Atypical Child Development
  • 4 hours in the Area of Typical Child Development
  • 8.5 hours in the Area of Intervention AND
  • 8.5 hours in the Area of Working with Families

Both the modules and webinars must be completed. A Certificate of Completion from each component is required.

EI credit awarded applies only to CFC Service Coordinators.
