CAEP will be hosting the Fall 2026 CAEPCon September 17-18, 2026, in Arlington, Virginia. Join us at the Crystal Gateway Marriott for two days of programming that will allow you to be immersed in the CAEP Accreditation process. In addition to the main conference there will also be two post-conference workshops and one pre-conference workshop.

PRE-CONFERENCE
Designed for Faculty, Staff, and Leadership New to CAEP
This engaging and interactive workshop is designed for faculty, staff, and leadership teams who are new to the CAEP accreditation process or seeking a refresher. Participants will explore the five CAEP standards, gaining a clear understanding of each and how they connect to continuous improvement in educator preparation. Through practical examples, collaborative activities, and real-world scenarios, attendees will learn how to interpret evidence, align programs with standards, and contribute effectively to the accreditation process.
POST-CONFERENCE 1
Self-Study Report Writing Workshop
Get ready to write! This workshop is for educator preparation providers preparing to write a self-study report (SSR). Participants will be given the opportunity to walk through the process and learn the expectations for content and formatting on the SSR. The workshop will focus on areas where past SSR authors have needed the most assistance.
POST-CONFERENCE 2
Data Doesn’t Speak for Itself: Leveraging AI and Inquiry to Build Compelling Evidence
Data becomes evidence only when it is valid, reliable, analyzed, and clearly described. This workshop will explore how to transform data into evidence as part of quality assurance systems, guiding program evaluations for continuous improvement and CAEP review. We will examine various methods, including the use of generative AI, for visualizing data to support arguments and facilitate inquiry. Participants will leave the workshop equipped with a range of tools and systems to enhance their planning and utilize data effectively, ultimately leading to informed and purposeful evaluations.

CAEPCon provides opportunities to interact directly with the CAEP team and learn about our Standards and the accreditation process. There will be dozens of workshops that will focus on important topics in the field of educator preparation such as quality assessments, data literacy, clinical practices, demonstrating program impact, developing a quality assurance system, and more.
CAEPCon gives educator preparation providers (EPPs) the chance to share innovative ideas, continuous improvement experiences, transformational practice, and evidence-supported successes with other EPPs.
