What is the convention event about?
The ALPFA Convention is a multi-day leadership experience where Latino culture, career advancement, and community come together. More than a conference, Convention is the annual gathering point of ALPFA’s year-round leadership ecosystem—designed to help attendees build influence, strengthen skills, expand their network, and connect with meaningful career and leadership opportunities.
Designed for every stage of the journey—from students and early-career professionals to mid-career leaders, executives, partners, and allies—Convention brings together companies, industry leaders, mentors, peers, and the ALPFAmilia in one powerful environment centered in Latino culture and open to all who want to grow, contribute, and lead with impact.
Rooted in this year’s theme, Power by Design: From Self to Systems, Convention helps attendees move from personal growth to intentional leadership and broader influence. Through recruiting, skill-building, structured networking, cross-generational connection, and clear next steps, attendees leave with greater clarity, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of how they can shape the systems around them.
Are there any guest speakers or special guests attending the convention event?
Yes. Each year, the ALPFA Convention brings together a dynamic lineup of influential voices across business, media, technology, entrepreneurship, entertainment, and community leadership. Attendees can expect keynote speakers, executives, cultural leaders, innovators, and changemakers who share insights, experiences, and perspectives designed to inspire action and help attendees grow personally and professionally.
Past ALPFA Convention speakers and guests have included leaders and influential voices such as America Ferrera, Marcelo Hernández, Fortune 500 executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and nationally recognized advocates and creators.
As part of this year’s theme, Power by Design: From Self to Systems, speakers and special guests will help attendees think more deeply about leadership, influence, representation, career growth, and the role they can play in shaping the future across industries and communities.
The full speaker lineup and special guest announcements will be released on our website and social media channels as the event approaches.
Can I bring my own camera or recording equipment to the convention event?
Yes — attendees are welcome to bring personal cameras, phones, and basic recording equipment for personal, non-commercial use during the Convention.
To help create a safe, respectful, and engaging experience for all attendees, certain sessions, recruiting activities, networking spaces, or special events may have photography or recording restrictions. Please follow all posted signage and instructions from ALPFA staff, venue personnel, and event moderators.
Professional photography, commercial videography, livestreaming, or media recording may require advance approval from ALPFA. Attendees should also be mindful of the privacy and comfort of others, particularly during recruiting conversations, mentoring sessions, or closed-door discussions.
Please note that ALPFA and authorized partners may photograph or record portions of the Convention for promotional, marketing, archival, and community storytelling purposes.
Will there be food and beverages available at the event?
Yes. Food and beverage options will be available throughout the Convention experience, including options available for purchase at the venue and during select Convention activities.
In addition to traditional venue offerings, the Convention experience will intentionally incorporate elements of Latino culture and the local Charlotte community — including opportunities to highlight local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and culturally connected food experiences throughout the event.
Depending on your registration type and scheduled activities, some receptions, networking experiences, or hosted sessions may include complimentary food and beverages. Additional dining options will also be available within and around the venue.
ALPFA aims to provide a variety of options that accommodate different dietary preferences and needs whenever possible, including vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary considerations.
More details regarding meals, receptions, featured vendors, and hospitality experiences will be shared closer to the event.
